Disclaimer: Bog is dealing with extreme weather patterns in the Bog Lands, so our usual deep dive approach is on the shelf until the storms subside. Bog isn't sure if his wax-ridden muck ears are detecting an influence, but the EP Avulse sounds like a cosmic electronic version of sludge. The lo-fi, nasty, unforgiving sonic dread is all over the first four tracks. In sections, the bass, structure, and composition are like a riff stripped bare and stretched across the galaxy. If Bog were not challenged by extreme weather patterns in the Bog Lands, he would have written much more about the timing, patterns, arrangement, sequencing, and such, but it's a quick style approach for now. Bog's Thoughts: Excellently composed and presented as a truly horrific, yet also captivating score of dread painting a visual picture of isolation and fear while traversing space.
