(MUCK POOL NEWS) TORII – NEW ALBUM DESPAIRE ANNOUNCEMENT (POST METAL/DOOM)
Multi-instrumentalist Bill Masino's solo project, TORII , will release its seventh studio album, Despaire, on 18 December 2026. Marking the project's first new release in five years, the album highlights a stylistic shift away from TORII's early black metal roots, moving instead into a blend of psychedelic post-metal, death-doom, and traditional doom metal. Conceptually inspired by Edmund Spenser’s epic poem "The Faerie Queene," the album explores themes of shifting between dreams and nightmares, overcoming inner darkness, and confronting mortality.
