(BOG REVIEW) - ETERNAL - CONSPIRACY OF WARHEADS (THRASH METAL, RELEASED SEP 28TH, FLOGA RECORDS)

Image
Yo, Stenchers, Bog's back with a short direct update whilst we have a window before the storms return.  Classic, fast, head banging orientated thrash with riffage and strong paced solos in parts. Presented and composed well, but not for beasts that like something other than non-stop breakneck circling your head around and around. Little melodic edge with the some of the riffs, but it's solid, enjoyable, and ensures the blood is pumping!  Bog's thoughts: Fun listen containing both fast paced thrash and traditional heavy metal passages. Played and composed for y'all to bang your heads in the Bog Lands! TORMENTA (DEATH/THRASH/GROOVE, REVIEW) - "JUNGLE DEAD" (SINGLE, RELEASED JUNE 12TH, INDEPENDENT)

Image
Bog was pissed off today, currently swamped in bog water, then had to endure shitty-ass soccer with silly f*-c-k-s- cosplaying injuries. Shit's f*c-k-i-n-g- weird af. Overpaid clown runs, then throws themselves on a f*-c-k- off lawn like some invisible force kicked them through the air at faster speeds than how Bog would run if Uncle Wendigo came a calling.  Bog was ecstatic, then the Bog Pools spewed forth Tormenta ,   and his mood changed instantly.  Jungle Dead is the debut single from Tormenta's forthcoming album and Bog is super eager to hear it when it drops.  Jungle Dead starts at   0:00. The drum intro kicks into a lead riff into the vocal drop around 0:34 that sets a nice tone for the listener. Bog had a nice time listening to this via his magical device and paired headphones. Bog increased the volume super loud, and was pretty badass to hear the mega structure and how Tormenta has layered each part for the flow.  The f*c-k-i-n-g- sic...

DEAD SLEEP (THRASH, REVIEW) - REPULSION EP (RELEASED JUNE 26)

Image
Bog's! Here's one to wake up the tribes! 1. Repulsion , the title track, opens with a whispering narration, then a sick af intro and chain-gun riffing. Good mid-powerboat circle-pit speed for riding around the muck seas. Vocals are clean and harsh; comfortable transitions and the unity between the band is evident.  Solid riffs and drums to encourage Bogs to swing and bang their heads.   The outro is a nice fade-out to take us into Hell Hath No Fury . 2. Hell Hath No Fury - We arrive at the first banger on the album, Bogs! This slays. Direct to the point with a heavy crossover vibe. A brief slow down halfway through, not too lengthy with the breakdown, then drops back to maintain the circle-pit-worthy flow. Bog knows dropping this in the Bog Club would make the room go off! Riffs are nasty as taking a p-i-s-s after holding it for 6 hours; it burns and rips through.   3. Children of The Blade - If you thought Hell Hath No Fury was the banger, nah my Bog, this bang...

CONDITION CRITICAL - DEGENERATION CHAMBER (SELF RELEASED, SEP 5TH) (THRASH, REVIEW)

Image
Condition Critical are back with new album ' Degeneration Chamber ', which was recently independently released on September 5th. Bog found this a difficult one to scribe. Why? Because this is really good, no frills, in your face pure thrash metal the way it should be. The great unclean hands shall try to sum up what is contained beyond the superb artwork we can see above.  Bog likes Degeneration Chamber a lot, it cheerfully encouraged himself to climb on a dive board and jump off belly first into the water splashing everyone in the vicinity whilst he laughed. It's i ntense, fast, aggressive, raw, and has old school fury combined with excellent production, which does not fail to lose the energy.  Wretched Aggression and Deconstructive Horrors are of full bullet belt riffs and only should be listened to whilst wearing proper metal pants that haven't been washed for some time. Cranial Dissolution follows the opening two tracks and   its more no frills, no filler, just...
