(BOG REVIEW) - ENEMIES EVERYWHERE - MY VENGEANCE (METALCORE/DEATHCORE, RELEASED JUNE 26TH, RANKA KUSTANNUS)
My Vengeance is a blend of extreme metal with metalcore for the first part of the track and transitions to deathcore in latter parts. The production and frequencies are good, but Bog wasn't so crazy on the higher pitched vocals on My Vengeance . Not that they are bad, but would have liked them to be more guttural in parts to go with the faster paced sections on the track, which are good and pit worthy. The traditional metalcore and deeper vocaled deathcore vox work, but the higher tone during the symphonic interludes, and on some of the melodic high speed transitions give the track a milder feel. It's not a bad track, but maybe some of the higher tone vocals could have been dialled back , so they aren't as prominent. Bog's Thoughts : The composition and musical craft are solid, but My Vengeance feels if the arrangement was better, then the faster parts and symphonic passages would hit harder.
