CRANIAL OSTEOTOMY - VORTEX OF THE DARK KNOWLEDGE (BRUTAL DEATH, COMATOSE MUSIC, RELEASED JULY 10TH, 2026)

Sometimes, Bog wakes up on a morning, and feels mad, and wants to go vomit somewhere, and upset residents of the pompous ass golf society. I’d been trying to pop a zit on the back of my balls, which was difficult to reach, so was struggling with motivation to accomplish the task. Well, Cranial Osteotomy sound like they also woke up mad and decided to go record the soundtrack to feeling ‘pissed off’.

The music slays, Vortex Of The Dark Knowledge is a good brutal mosh album, although it can become a little repetitive, but this has been orchestrated to do one thing, one thing alone, to encourage people to gather, and be a group of sweaty bastards head banging to some nasty shit. For those not into all things heavy, you may want to look elsewhere in Jazz Beard Land, but as Bog stated at the beginning about mornings. If you wake up pissed off like Bog when the sun shines, then go pre-order Vortex Of The Dark Knowledge, which is the ideal thing to help you get through those problematic cheerful morning issues.

The only aspects Bog was a little disappointed in were the vocals in parts drown out the music, which is a difficult balance, because some bands can be the opposite. Bog would of preferred more of a growl sound, they do become a little gurgley. It’s not that they aren’t fierce, but it's more to do with my personal taste as a muck ridden beast.

Rating: It's much better than a kick in the balls. Vortex Of The Dark Knowledge is a good enjoyable heavy album, but hopefully next time it can be even more aggressive and brutal. Not bad mosh, definitely worth sweating your skin off.
