IRON WIND - FEAR THE SHOGUN PART 2: (UNDERGROUND/REAL HIP HOP, INDEPENDENTLY RELEASED JAN 22, 2026, REVIEW)
Fear The Shogun Part 2 follows up with another homage to Feudal Japan, Samurai movies, and respects the associated culture. Bog does prefer Fear The Shogun Part 1, but it's still fire with deep bangers not to be slept on. Big boom beats, clean clear production, keeps it hardcore too, so the energy remains on point to go with the flow. Bog is dropping the notable joints to look out for below, but there is a special flame on this one y'all. If Bog had to serve one up, then 'Sekigahara' is the one to not skip.
Only track Bog didn't feel was the closer, 'Get Down', which isn't Bog's style, a much softer end to the album. Possibly work better as a shorter intro or outro, but it's not 100 wack, just doesn't bang as hard.
* Reign of Fire
**Sekigahara - Fire of the fire. Listen up, real talk, this is what I wanna hear walking around the block. Grimy, gutter, and the flow delivers the track like a boxer's precise strike to the jaw. No biter shit, real hip hop. I challenge you not be fired up by this joint.
*Do Or Die
*Storm The Gates
*Red Sun
*Shogun Assassin
Bog's closing thoughts: Fear The Shogun Part 2 contains good hardcore beats and Iron Wind's flow is in time with the music and the bars are on point. Imagine a Samurai rising from posture to start an attack, or practice a form with a determined steel focus. The production is clear and crisp, but doesn't drop that hardcore ethic from the lab. The flow displays a strong form, asking the audience to jump up and bounce. A most definite fire album, even though I do prefer part 1 as already stated, because I feel it hits just slightly harder.
