LUMBERGHAST - FIRST PERSON SHOOTER (REVIEW, INDEPENDENTLY RELEASED 5/1/23, DARK SYNTHWAVE/INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS)

More from the Bog pool archives, originally spewed 5/1/23.

Lumberghast possess constant tempo and rhythm, classic dnb fused with aggressive beats and dirty gutter effects to portray a sinister sci-fi dystopian setting.

First Person Shooter is beautifully nasty, the riffs add the finishing flavor. One thing Bog mentioned after each listen was 'need to listen again'. It's immersive. If you enjoy dark music, or appreciate sinister sci-fi and such, then you'll be hooked on First Person Shooter. If you're rich enough to play 40K in the human world, then here is the soundtrack for your legions charging across the table.

On the production side of things. Beats are clear, samples are nice and crisp. They are distinguishable, each track doesn't just fade into the other, so it avoids the pitfalls of sounding like one long track.

The run time is ideally paced. Enough to leave you foaming at the mouth and wanting more. It wets the appetite.

Rating: The feel of First Person Shooter is ideally filled with turbulent tremors and nightmares, which suited the flow and atmosphere. So, if you dig nightmarish and horror sci-fi filled worlds, then do not pass on First Person Shooter. A worthy soundtrack for the imagination and a very fine piece of high adrenalin music.
