BOG STENCHMARE

Disclaimer: Bog is dealing with extreme weather patterns in the Bog Lands, so our usual deep dive approach is on the shelf until the storms subside.  Classic filth-ridden HM2 that has elements of straight up death metal and some thunderous hardcore punkified influences on some tracks. Audio is good, drumming blistering as f-c-k- and there are also grindier, hardcore, and shred riffs compared to traditional HM2. Notable on track 6. Bog Thoughts:  Bog liked and enjoyed the album. It is nothing revolutionarily new, but it's still good music, and authentically plays the sound of classic death metal and HM2, but Bog did note there are some little touches adding a ferocity like as if your big toe was trapped underneath a door.  The tracks swell and burst with direct frontline mosh assaults for those who vibe with solid stand up head banging, no-nonsense death metal.  Tracklist: 1) Follow the Circling Vultures 2) Dissenter 3) Might is Right 4) Embrace the Flames  ...

Between Blood and Silence - The title track and opening is an angry heavy death grind attack with hardcore riffing, and industrial overtones. It's an interesting combination, which features on other tracks and gives Mangled Carpenter a distinct signature tone. Bog's earphones detected the audio was a little off on the drum programming with the tin-ish sound, but it's only really noticeable on the breakdown riffs, and is more in the background. No big issue, during a live set tweaking the EQ or lowering the drums on the mixer could resolve this issue.  2. Carved – Has that post-apoc atmosphere with dark industrial overtones and death groove, grind, and the darker side of nu metal featuring hardcore breakdown riffs, and harsh vocals, but you can understand them. The lyrics are good and thought out, and caught Bog’s ear. ...

Bog was pissed off today, currently swamped in bog water, then had to endure shitty-ass soccer with silly f*-c-k-s- cosplaying injuries. Shit's f*c-k-i-n-g- weird af. Overpaid clown runs, then throws themselves on a f*-c-k- off lawn like some invisible force kicked them through the air at faster speeds than how Bog would run if Uncle Wendigo came a calling.  Bog was ecstatic, then the Bog Pools spewed forth Tormenta ,   and his mood changed instantly.  Jungle Dead is the debut single from Tormenta's forthcoming album and Bog is super eager to hear it when it drops.  Jungle Dead starts at   0:00. The drum intro kicks into a lead riff into the vocal drop around 0:34 that sets a nice tone for the listener. Bog had a nice time listening to this via his magical device and paired headphones. Bog is smothered in more bog water than usual today. One of the zits on my ass has exploded, causing a wave to burst over into the cooking quarters.  So, it's another rapid-fire review for the latest offering that the bog spewed before my zit mishap. SCORDATURA's new album, ' Led Into Oblivion' ,  presents c lassic step-up death metal featuring minor grinding traces on some tracks, but the sound is direct, solid, heavy-ass shit full of headbanging momentum. The riff structures are strong, including the drums, lead vox, and backing vox. They all join together to add nice touches to the music. Bog's Thoughts:  The influences are clear, but Led Into Oblivion is an enjoyable listen and a welcome respite from the torturous world of golf that plagues Bog.
