TORMENTA (DEATH/THRASH/GROOVE, REVIEW) - "JUNGLE DEAD" (SINGLE, RELEASED JUNE 12TH, INDEPENDENT)

Bog was pissed off today, currently swamped in bog water, then had to endure shitty-ass soccer with silly f*-c-k-s- cosplaying injuries. Shit's f*c-k-i-n-g- weird af. Overpaid clown runs, then throws themselves on a f*-c-k- off lawn like some invisible force kicked them through the air at faster speeds than how Bog would run if Uncle Wendigo came a calling.

Bog was ecstatic, then the Bog Pools spewed forth Tormenta, and his mood changed instantly.

Jungle Dead is the debut single from Tormenta's forthcoming album and Bog is super eager to hear it when it drops.

Jungle Dead starts at 0:00. The drum intro kicks into a lead riff into the vocal drop around 0:34 that sets a nice tone for the listener. Bog had a nice time listening to this via his magical device and paired headphones.

Bog increased the volume super loud, and was pretty badass to hear the mega structure and how Tormenta has layered each part for the flow.

The f*c-k-i-n-g- sick signature riff tone imposes on the ears, and Bog liked the transition to the groove riffing sections that helps build the flow of the track. On some bars, the riffs groove 'down', and in others, it increases pitch and is more aggressive. A really nice effect.

Bog would have no problem dropping this in a set and encouraging people to go off around the room, especially if it was a jungle set somewhere. Something Bog has to work on for the Bog Lands.

So, Jungle Dead hooks the ears in, the drum/riff patterns sync tight with the vocals (Bog wants to mention a cool thing about them later), and it's tight for the build into the flow, drops out, then goes back to the flow for the track. As Bog said earlier, it would be a nice track to drop in and make a room boom the f*-c-k- off.

At 1:56 - 2:20, features a nice solo breakdown to build back to the riff pattern, followed by the vocal drop again at 2:54-2:55. Good solid workflow to take us into another tribalesque vocal drop that Bog really liked.

It introduces an extended riff outro with a tribal vocal drop at 3:06 that cuts out with an echo out or low cut echo maybe, but it was a sick subtle effect that flowed nice with the outro.

It may be Bog immersing himself in the music, but it was like stepping back into the path of our ancestors and seeing them around you with the feeling of something hunting us.

The 3:31 bassline adds another subtle effect on the fade out with the riffs to complete the outro.

Bog's Thought's: There wasn't anything Bog didn't like or appreciate with Jungle Dead, and it's a stimulating track that wakes up the blood.

The build and flow are tightly structured with clean production, so this already wets the appetite for the album. They are not a band who don't utilize different effects and genres, so that's good shit.

Bog focused on the ancestral inspiring imagery, but it works easily for modern-day settings, it was just something in the riff patterns and vocals that made Bog's blood awaken.

The audio frequencies are balanced with the low, medium, and high, and Jungle Dead is full of mosh moisture with riffs like a f*c-k-i-n-g assault rifle tearing up everything around it.

Stenchers, get to it, go hear the single and support at the links below, and run through the forests!
