Another release Bog would normally wade deep in the swamp with, but a shorter approach for now whilst those storms hit the Bog Lands! Excellent atmospheric mixture of folk, prog, and black metal themed around Norse culture.  Timed riffs and drums, differing vocal ranges, and EQs all mixed well and balanced to help deliver a musical journey.  Bog's Thoughts: The track lengths are long, so probably not for those that want an all-out wall of noise, or just non-stop headbanging, but Elegi is a balanced listen offering a wide palette. Audio is good, drumming blistering as f-c-k- and there are also grindier, hardcore, and shred riffs compared to traditional HM2. Notable on track 6. Bog Thoughts:  Bog liked and enjoyed the album. The lo-fi, nasty, unforgiving sonic dread is all over the first four tracks. In sections, the bass, structure, and composition are like a riff stripped bare and stretched across the galaxy. If Bog were not challenged by extreme weather patterns in the Bog Lands, he would have written much more about the timing, patterns, arrangement, sequencing, and such, but it's a quick style approach for now. Bog's Thoughts: Excellently composed and presented as a truly horrific, yet also captivating score of dread painting a visual picture of isolation and fear while traversing space. Between Blood and Silence - The title track and opening is an angry heavy death grind attack with hardcore riffing, and industrial overtones. It's an interesting combination, which features on other tracks and gives Mangled Carpenter a distinct signature tone. Bog's earphones detected the audio was a little off on the drum programming with the tin-ish sound, but it's only really noticeable on the breakdown riffs, and is more in the background. No big issue, during a live set tweaking the EQ or lowering the drums on the mixer could resolve this issue.  2. Carved – Has that post-apoc atmosphere with dark industrial overtones and death groove, grind, and the darker side of nu metal featuring hardcore breakdown riffs, and harsh vocals, but you can understand them. The lyrics are good and thought out, and caught Bog’s ear. ...

Classic old school punk vibe with female vocals and second wave era influences.  Production is balanced, not too clean and preserves the filth required to make it work. Bog didn't quite enjoy it as much as ' Summoning Inversion ', though the mixing and mastering are excellent. Elektrikill's 'Küntzpiracy'   is a super mega sick album with a mood-setting opening from the first two tracks that take us into some absolute bangers, which Bog has quickly outlined below. 03. Vampire Blond feels like a cyberpunk tone with dark electro fused with a little industrial. It made Bog think of vampires and neo-industrial punks dancing to this in the future in a city at night. Or are the vamps watching the punks? Or vice versa? Nicely mixed, mastered, synced, and timed well, making it visually stimulating. 04. The Scream – Bog banged his head instantly, and the track has a  sinister high-frequency drop. Bog was rolling around in the muck and squelching with his thighs when a Muck Pool spewed WeedWizard in his direction. "Blood Cathedral"  features the classic dirty heavy doomy sludge riffing with notable signatures and swing-your-head-around parts.  Vocally, it is mostly unclean—matching the anger of someone who was sharing a room with an entertaining person narrating tales from the exciting world of shoe string art.  The drums support the vox and riffs, and help change up the pace when necessary for more muck squelching, which helps forget the experience of Shoe String Tim.  "End of Daze" was one of the tracks Bog didn't quite feel along with the outro " The Sadness." Bog Thoughts:   Bog wanted to jump from a high raised platform and belly splash into a muck pool. Track 1: Dune (featuring  Amaya López-Carromero) The night sky was quiet; the moonlight shone down on the sands below. Bog watched the shadows dance while Mountainscape’s Dune played on his audio device. Bog tried to adjust his posture. It had him again, just like every night. It would linger, the heavy dread building like the riffs on The Elder Scrolls , only to drop off into haunting, melodic, emotional passages with strong guitar structures in tune with the struggle to survive. Those sections offered the stimulus for Bog to try to break free from the same played-out pattern. Every night it came: the unseen dread. He couldn’t hear it, nor see it, but he knew it was there.
