BOG REVIEW: JUNE MARX - (UNDERGROUND HIP HOP/CONSCIOUS HIP HOP/SCI-FI HIP HOP/BOOM BAP) - NEO NOIR II: DYSTOPIAN DISTRICT (RELEASED 2025)

A very long, deep, and engaging album revolving around AI, cybernetics, synthetics, dystopian futures, transhumanism, cyberpunk themes, and much more.

The tracks are quite short in length, but are balanced and run like an audio novel. There are smart samples and audio to support the narrative, and it's a sci-fi, cinematic, and ambitious album.

Bog may return to scribe about Neo Noir II: Dystopian District and do a deep dive, because there is so much material and depth on the album.

Imagine an MC in a cyber city living amongst cyborgs and the like, and he drops an album discussing his experiences and observations.

Bog has listed some of the bangers below.

Bog's fire selector picks:

Simulated Realities

Dystopian District

Terminated Circuits

Stimulus Streets

Cells Interlinked

Trouble Shooter

Sensory Pills

Cyberpsychosis - Almost industrial hip hop. Would crossover and be a tight drop. Solid boom bap beat.

Naughty Replicant

Biohacks

Synthetic Greenery

Habitation Stack

Invisible Incorporated

Bog's Thoughts: Your personal list of favorite joints may differ from Bog's, but Neo Noir II: Dystopian District is a thought-provoking journey closer to a musical sci-fi novel. June Marx is like a narrator in a neo-futurist dystopian cyberpunk city. There are also themes about losing the balance with technology, and so much more, which would require a deep dive.

Bog may return with an updated scribe at some point when he isn't wading through bog water.

Bog has barely mentioned production, beats, or flow, but the cinematic atmosphere takes over, which demonstrates how the musical immersion succeeds.
