MUCK SCROLLS PT 2 - SKULLSHITTER/BLEEDING OUT (SPLIT, DEATH GRIND/GRINDCORE, REVIEW)

Muck Scrolls

They are super short bog spews from the muck revolving around bands/artists early releases. Some of which may no longer be active, but the bogs spat them out to be shared.

*Short overviews, not so much on the deep dive side or audio commentary*

With a charming name like Skullshitter you expect to hear Sunday afternoon jazz club featuring a guest lecture with Martha and Fred from coffee shop poetry couples. Well, Skullshitter’s LP split partner Bleeding Out, was another accurate description for Bog's experience.

Skullshitter conjure a sonic wall of noise to capture the ears, refusing to release the listener until they are crying out from hearing a piece of undiluted grime ridden vapour of death grind.

There are some excellent mosh parts on their side of the split such as the breakdowns and riffing on Wrath Snorter and Lava Seed, which scream circle pits.

Skullshitter contain a mix of old school death metal and death grind with small traces of hardcore to form some of the riffing and mosh parts. It’s a well-built foundation and serves the audience a ranging arc.

Bleeding Out:

Bleeding Out grabbed Bog much more than Skullshitter. An absolute carnivorous opening which provides no quarter for the listener. If you want intensity, Bleeding Out present it! Seems to be more intense and faster, even though Skullshitter certainly aren’t slow or any less powerful.

Rating: A solid tag team of grinding mosh!
