THE REAPING SANDS (BOG LORE)

The Reaping Sands; another ship arrives...

Carrying its cargo, a chorus of cries.

Bog sighed, watching from his crouched position, line after line... They were cast out from fear and doubt. It turned his stomach to a weak disposition, The Great Gate: consumed... with tyrannical inquisition.

They were shunned and shamed, eternally blamed. Every hour, a demonstration of power, kicked to the ships, to be forgotten until their bones were rotten.

Bog remembered the feeling of dread, the words which were said. Ignorant and vile, tongues that defiled.

‘Citizen Harper, you must choose a sector’, said the voice.

‘Choose a sector’, it repeated over and over, no shift in tone.

Despite the consequence of defiance, Bog had survived. Escaped from the sands, living in the muck tainted lands. He knew the pain from refusing to play the game.
