(BOG REVIEW) 'SCARBLADE' - 'GUARDIANS OF TIME' (SINGLE, WORMHOLE DEATH RECORDS, TRADITIONAL HEAVY METAL/CLASSIC HEAVY METAL)

Guardians of Time is the title track from the forthcoming album of the same name, due to drop on WormHoleDeath on October 30th.
Bog wanted to take a look at the single because it has a cinematic sci-fantasy vibe. Imagine roaming landscapes, bikes, cars, and cosmic worlds. It has that feel. Increase the volume, allow the mind to wander, and set those senses free while listening, Stenchers.
The intro features a solid axe attack riff with good drum patterns, and symphonic elements are incorporated at 0:05 with a classical instrumentation melody to transition into the vocal leads to present the main theme of the track.
At 0:58, the pace changes to high-speed, then drops back to the chorus at 1:07, which was smoothly done.
The vocal range is nice and holds the high notes without overkill, which can sometimes turn Bog's ears off traditional heavy metal if it features bands with someone who sounds like a Band-Aid is being pulled off their testicles extremely fast. So, no cringy, stale cheese, just a powerful, dynamic range.
The drum tracking is nice, but in parts, it is a little in the background behind the vocals and guitars, though it's a minor issue. Bog's headphones detect everything, so no Gate-ass elitism here. Overall, the drum patterns are solid with no tin-pot sound detected.
The structural builds and layering are solid AF and present an accessible, classic heavy metal track to grab the ears. "Guardians of Time" is just straight-up heavy metal music.
The guitars also blend nicely with the vocals, all synced and timed with clean transitions. The solo is nice at 2:24, and "Guardians of Time" does sound like a track with personality, for sure.
Bog thinks the Selector would ride to Scarblade's music while on recon near The Gate borders. That said, Bog will send an encoded message for him to do that.
A note on the outro, which builds nicely with the lead vocals taking the forefront to cleanly drop out with a good, instant fade-off.
Stenchers, Scarblade presents us with an enjoyable, direct, classic metal sound to hit the ears, which sets up the hunger to taste the full length album when it drops, of which "Guardians of Time" is the title track.
See you in the next transmission, Bog
