(MUCK POOL NEWS) FINNISH HEAVY METALLERS DEMONESSA UNLEASH HORROR-THEMED 2-SONG SINGLE "TASTE OF BLOOD" JUST IN TIME FOR SAMHAIN (TRADITIONAL HEAVY METAL, SELF-RELEASED)

Finnish heavy metal outfit Demonessa is rising from the crypts to drop a lethal new two-song single, "Taste of Blood" (+ bonus track), launching straight into the wild on October 31.

Culled from the same writing sessions as their debut full-length Wild 'N' Loud, these darker tracks were held back specifically to serve as a horror-themed offensive for Halloween. As an added slaughter, the release features a streamlined bonus version of "Till Death Do Us Part," completely stripping the minute-long acoustic intro to get straight to the heavy meat of the song.
Following the departure of Jones Tervas, a new machine with steel calves known as Jerry Iron has hopped onto the heavy metal drum kit stool, delivering a thunderous backbone performance. The new drums, mics, and recording space were mixed and mastered by veteran audio specialist Aleksis Pelli at Mix Studio 1101.
The main compositions were forged by guitarist John Creweholm, with vocalist S3nsku commanding the lyric sheets and vocal melodies.
To give the single a proper cinematic visual counterpart, the release is accompanied by a vampire-themed music video inspired by classic vintage horror cinema. The storyline tracks a vampire whose primal bloodlust becomes her ultimate downfall after an attack in the dark woods leaves her too blinded by the ecstasy of the kill to notice the rising sun. The video was directed and edited by John Creweholm, with S3nsku handling camera duties for actors Fiona Fyhr and Sakari Mattila.
DEMONESSA Line-up:
  • S3nsku – Vocals
  • John Creweholm – Guitars
  • Hugo M. Raze – Guitars
  • Peet von Rowanskerry – Bass
  • Jerry Iron – Drums
